Hi Father Bloom,
Thank-you very much for taking time out of your life to help clarify the issue of contraceptive use. I have actually had the opportunity to research it further since I emailed you last and I gave a presentation on NFP to my seminar group. I am an elementary teacher working for a Catholic board and I am currently taking one of their education courses. I went to talk to the priest at my parish (Fr. Frank Kelly) and he was also a big help. Let me tell you, their are a lot of skeptics out there even within our school system. I think I actually did a pretty good job explaining the Church's point of view to my colleagues. I am happy to have had the opportunity to make your acquaintance, even if it was only through email. My husband and I are going to take one of those NFP courses because right now we are just going off of what they briefly taught us at our marriage classes. I am basically using the techniques they taught us to guess when I'm ovulating but I'm sure learning how to use NFP properly will have a higher rate of accuracy.
Anyways, thank-you so much for your time. I hope to get NFP mastered so that my husband and I can plan our family together.
Sincerest thanks and best wishes,
