Bulletin (July 2, 2006)

1. Our two-bit collection is for Peter’s Pence. Your donations will support the work of our Holy Father, Pope Benedict. Besides the day to day pastoral work of the papacy, the pope often responds to emergency situations in our world. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

2. Thank you to all who have supported this year’s Annual Catholic Appeal. In my column in the bulletin, you will find a report on the pledges to date. As you can see, we did better than previously projected, but we are still short of our goal. It, of course, is never too late to make a pledge.

3. After Mass you may sign up to have your picture taken for our parish directory. Those who have their picture taken will receive a free 8 by 10 inch picture, as well as the updated pictorial directory. There is no obligation to purchase photos.

4. If you know someone interested in the Catholic Church, please let them know about the summer RCIA class. We are also looking for people interested in serving as sponsor to new Catholics. Please see the bulletin for more information.

5. The next Altar Server Training will be Tuesday, July 10. Please see the bulletin or contact Rose Velasco for more information.

6. Also you are invited to purchase a tickets for the Summer Raffle sponsored by our parish Hispanic Community. Earnings from this raffle will go toward our parish Capital Campaign. The first prize is $1000.

7. On the Fourth of July we will have Mass at 8:30 a.m. and at 8:30 p.m. in Latin. This is an opportunity to give thanks and to pray for our country and its many needs. Please take home a bulletin for further information.
