Announcements (October 1, 2006)

1. Our two-bit collection this morning is for Tuition Assistance. Your contributions will enable needy families to send their child or children to Holy Family School. By supporting Tuition Assistance, you are helping our parish school which in turn benefits our entire parish. Please see Principal Glen Lutz’ column for important news about Holy Family School.

2. Thank you for your donations last week for the Annual Catholic Appeal. As you can see, we are getting closer to our 2006 goal.

3. This Monday we will have the first of a series of lectures sponsored by our parish Catholic Evidence Guild. Learn more about how you can better explain the Catholic faith to others.

4. October 5 is the first Thursday of the month. Frs. Velasco and Bloom will be available fore confessions from 6 to 8 p.m.

5. RCIA classes for adults have gotten off to a good start. It is not too late to join. See the bulletin which also has information on RCIC and Religious Education classes for children.

6. Next Sunday our Knights of Columbus will offer a delicious breakfast after morning Masses. Proceeds will benefit our parish Birthright. The breakfast will be served in both the upper hall and the ground level Tice Hall. Also please see the flier for the Knights of Columbus Spaghetti Dinner and Raffle on October 21.

7. The bulletin also contains a Save the Date insert on the School Auction and a flier on next Saturday’s Pennies from Heaven. Tickets are on sale now.

8. (11 a.m. Mass) After this Mass our Filipino Community has delicious food for sale in the upper hall and the Tice Hall. Proceeds will go to the parish Capital Campaign.

9. You are invited to join the Life Chain this Sunday at 2 p.m. at 16th and Roxbury.
