Announcements (February 17, 2008)

1. The two-bit collection is for Priests for Life. Priests for Life is an officially approved association of Catholic Clergy who give special emphasis to the pro-life teachings of the Church. Priests for Life offers ongoing assistance to the clergy in addressing the topics of abortion and euthanasia, and training and resources to the entire pro-life movement. Your donations will assist this vital work.

2. Fr. Peter West of Priests for Life will speak on “Life Issues and the Theology of the Body” this Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the school hall. All are welcome.

3. The Young Adult Bible Study meets this Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Sharon Carriere Library of the Ailbe House. If you are between 17 and 35, you are encouraged to attend.

4. All are invited to participate in Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings at 6 p.m., followed by Soup Supper in the Tice Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for Lenten prayer and fellowship. Also on Friday evenings there are confessions in the church beginning at 7 p.m.

5. There will be a Memorial Mass next Saturday at 11 a.m. in honor of Ray Terlicker. Ray’s wife, Colleen Terlicker and their children invite you to join them at the Mass and the reception which will follow in the school hall. Please see Fr. Bloom’s column for more details.

6. Principal Glen Lutz’ “school news” column contains details on how to enroll your child for Kindergarten and Pre-K, as well as grades 1 to 8.

7. Today is Progress Sunday. The most recent issue of the Catholic Northwest Progress is available free at church entrances. Please consider becoming a subscriber to our archdiocesan newspaper. Each copy contains a business reply envelope that you can use to enter your subscription.

8. Today’s bulletin has information on next weekend’s Project Rachel Retreat, the March 8 Cathedral Walk and much more. Please be sure to take home a bulletin. They are available on tables at church entrances. Thank you.

1. La segunda colecta es para Sacerdotes Por la Vida. Los "Sacerdotes por la vida" son una asociación de sacerdotes católicos que enfatizan de una manera especial la promoción y defensa de la santidad de la vida humana.

2. Inscripciones estan abiertas para nuestra escuela parroquial. El boletin tiene informacion en español sobre como inscribir a su hijo para pre-kinder hasta el octavo grado.

3. La fecha para la Caminata a la Catedral es el 8 de marzo. Saldremos a las 7:30 a.m. y habrá celebracion de la misa en la Catedral a mediodia, seguida por almuerzo en el salon Gallagher de la Catedral. Todos son bienvenidos a participar en esta peregrinacion.

4. El boletin tiene el Horario del Grupo de Oracion, Legion de Maria, Grupo de Adolescentes, Grupo Juvenil, Clases de Bautismo y Alcoholicos Anonimos. Favor de llevar un boletin para noticias en castellano e inglés sobre nuestra parroquia y escuela.
