Announcements (August 12, 2007)

1. The two-bit collection is for Project Rachel. Project Rachel reaches out to those who are suffering as the result of a procured abortion. Every three or four months they sponsor a “Rachel’s Vineyard” Retreat for women and men suffering from post-abortion syndrome. Your contributions will help Project Rachel continue its healing work.

2. Thank you for your donations last weekend for Deanery Hospital Ministry. In the Stewardship Report of the bulletin, you will find the results of this collection, as well as the First Collection and the Capital Campaign.

3. Regarding the Capital Campaign, we are sending letters to registered parishioners who have not yet made a pledge or contribution. As we enter the final phase of the Campaign, we want to invite all Holy Family parishioners to participate.

4. This Friday Principal Glen Lutz is inviting Home School families to attend a brainstorming/listening session in the school hall. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Please see Mr. Lutz’ column for more details.

5. The bulletin contains a flier regarding our Holy Family Youth Choir. All children ages 8 to 17 are invited to participate.

6. This year our Catholic Scripture Study offers an in-depth study of the Book of Revelation. The bulletin explains how you can sign up for these exciting classes.

7. This Wednesday is the Feast of the Assumption. In the bulletin you will find the schedule of Masses – including a Vigil Mass in Latin on Tuesday evening.

8. Please join the Holy Family Summer Hispanic Festival this afternoon, beginning at 1:30. The Festival will feature live Mariachi music, games for children and authentic food. All profits will support the Holy Family Capital Campaign.

9. The bulletin also has information about baptism classes, Marriage Encounter, volunteer opportunities and the upcoming Parish Potluck Picnic. For information about these and other activities, please be sure to take home a bulletin.

10. Finally, hand-made rosaries are for sale in the church vestibule right after Mass.

Saturday evening:

Our parish youth are holding an all night Eucharistic Adoration for Gloria Strauss. It will begin at 10 p.m. and conclude at 8 a.m. All are welcome to join them in the Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel.
