Announcements (March 11, 2007)

1. Our two-bit collection is for our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society. In addition to your financial support, Holy Family Parish needs compassionate and dedicated people who can help with this important work. Please make this a part of your Lenten prayer.

2. Next Sunday we have the annual collection for Catholic Relief Services. The bulletin has information on how your contribution will help needy in our world. Also you will find a prayer card which you can use this week.

3. On Friday evenings of Lent you are invited to participate in Soup Supper beginning at 5 p.m. in the Tice Hall. Stations of the Cross take place at 6 p.m. in the Church – and there are confessions at 7 p.m.

4. Plan now to attend the annual Cathedral Walk on March 24. Those participating in this pilgrimage will leave from Holy Family at 7 a.m. that Saturday. Also March 24 is Archdiocesan Reconciliation Day. Many priests will be available at St. James Cathedral from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation – also called Penance or Confession.

5. At the 8 a.m. Mass next Sunday we will have the Second Scrutiny. You are invited to join in praying for our Catechumens and Candidates as they prepare for the Easter sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

6. On March 14 we officially begin enrollment for Holy Family School. You will find further information in principal Glen Lutz’ column.

7. Our Knights of Columbus are offering a delicious Pancake, French Toast and Sausage Breakfast after the morning Mass Masses this Sunday. Proceeds will go toward the support of archdiocesan seminarians.

8. If you did not receive your envelopes for March and April, please call the parish office. The bulletin has more information on a recent envelope mailing error. Please be sure to take home a bulletin for other important announcements. Thank you.
