Announcements (February 10, 2008)

1. The two-bit collection is for Black and Native Indian Missions Collection. The national campaign for America’s mission lands has been serving the Catholic Church in the United States for more than 124 years. From inner cities to outland reservations, many evangelical works and programs continue to be present for communities who do not have the financial base to support the Church. Your contributions will help this evangelization effort.

2. This Wednesday we will celebrate World Day of the Sick. At our evening Masses we will offer the Anointing of the Sick to those suffering chronic and serious illnesses. The Mass in English will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

3. The Young Adult Bible Study meets this Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. If you are between 17 and 35, you are cordially invited to participate. The bulletin contains further information.

4. All are invited to participate in Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings at 6 p.m., followed by Soup Supper in the Tice Hall, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for Lenten prayer and fellowship. Also on Friday evenings there are confessions in the church beginning at 7 p.m.

5. Next weekend Fr. Peter West from Priests for Life will give the homily at all Masses. Please see Fr. Bloom’s column for more information about Fr. West’s visit.

6. The Knights of Columbus are serving a Pancake and French Toast Breakfast from nine to noon this Sunday. Bring the whole family for this delicious breakfast and support the work of our parish Knights.
