Announcements (May 13, 2001)

1. Our two-bit collection this Sunday is for the Mary Bloom Center. You contributions will assist needy children and families in a very poor area of Peru.

2. Thank you for your contributions to last week's two-bit collection for our School Renovation Project. $362 were given. These donations will be used to advance with the seismic repairs of our school building. In recent weeks we have secured the bricks on the front of the building. This summer we will remove the canopy above the porch and install the permanent one. Please notice in your envelope packet the one for the School Renovation Project. Contributions are always gratefully received.

3. Thank you for your support of the Annual Catholic Appeal. As of last Sunday, we received 391 pledges for a total of $30,144. Our parish goal is 900 pledges and $90,000. By acheiving this goal, we will receive a $40 thousand rebate for use in building maintenance and renovation. If you have not yet filled out your Annual Catholic Appeal, please do so this week and place it in the collection or drop it by the rectory. Please support the Archdiocese and your parish by placing your pledge envelope in the collection or drop it by the rectory this week.

4. There is a Bible Study for high school students and young adults on Sunday evenings, 7 p.m. in the Ailbe House. More details & phone numbers in bulletin.

5. Angelorum Pregnancy Services is seek volunteers. If you can help, please call Alice at 206-363-3669.

6. Please mark July 15 on your calendar. Seminarian Armando Perez will be ordained to the transitional diaconate at a special 10 a.m. Mass at our parish.

7. The Catherine of Siena Institute is offering a "Called and Gifted" Workshop at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Please see the bulletin for details.

8. As summer approaches we need volunteer for Eucharistic Adoration who can substitue for those who are away. If you can give one hour a week to serve as a substitute, please see Betty (after 5 p.m. Mass) Eleanor (after 8 a.m.) or Joe (after ll a.m.)

9. This morning after Mass our Knights of Columbus will offer a special Mother's Day breakfast. Show mom how much you appreciate and support our Knights.

10. The Archdiocesan Young Adult Conference will take place May 18-20. For more information see the notice in the bulletin.

11. Sacred Heart Radio of Seattle features programs to inspire and deepen ones faith. Tune your radio to 1050 AM.

12. Copies of National Catholic Register are available at the entrances of the Church. The presence of Catholic literature in your home can help other family members.

13. Scrip is for sale after Mass. Scrip can be ordered for use at various stores in our area.
