Announcements (January 14, 2001)

1. Our two-bit collection today is for Sacred Heart Radio of Seattle. One of the most important media for reaching people is radio. Sacred Heart Radio provides daily Catholic programing for the greater Seattle area. Your donations will assist this important apostolate.

2. Thank you for your contributions last weekend for the Apostolate for Perpetual Adoration. $1026 were given at our six Masses. Also thank you to the 511 people who signed up for a weekly Holy Hour. You may still fill out the invitation form with name and phone number. Also we need hour coordinators. If you can help, please call Joe Vandermark, 242-7487.

3. The Hike for Life will arrive at Holy Family around noon on Monday. They are walking from St. James Cathedral to Olympia for the March for Life on Thursday. You are invited to join them at the Ailbe House Chapel and to walk part of the way with them.

4. The next baptism classes will be Jan. 22 & 29, (Monday evenings at 7 p.m.). Baptism will be on February 4 at 2 p.m. For information and to register call Sharon at the rectory, 767-6220.

5. Please see the bulletin also for important information regarding religious education for children, older teens and adults. It is not too late to join these classes.

6. Please notice the opening for parish secretary and assistant bookkeeper. If you are interested, please contact Tom Weber at the rectory office.

7. Helpers are need for Volunteer Chore Services. Please see the announcement in the bulletin.

8. After sunday morning Masses our Knights of Columbus will be serving a delicious pancake and French Toast Breakfast. The breakfast includes link sausages, peaches, coffee and juice all for $3.50. Let the Knights do the cooking and cleaning while you enjoy a tasty breakfast with family and friends. Also please plan on attending the annual Crab Dinner and Valentines Day Dance on January 27.

9. Pre-marriage classes begin this Sunday, January 14 at 7 p.m. in the rectory. If you plan on getting married in 2001, please come to this course. You may register at the door.

10. Darcy Hemstad, R.N. will be here on Saturday, Jan 27 to offer instructions on the use of the Billings Method of Natural Family Planning, 10 a.m. in the rectory.

11. If you are interested in learning Gregorian chant, there will be a class for beginners on Thurs, Jan. 18, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The class will run for three months. Call Tom at 767-6220.

12. For long range planning: Archbishop Brunett will ordain Armando Perez as a transitional deacon July 15, 10 a.m. here in Holy Family Parish.

14. Scrip is for sale after Mass. Last year Scrip netted several thousand dollars for our school and parish. By using scrip for your purchases of gasoline, food, etc. you help Holy Family - at no additional cost to yourself.
