Announcements (April 9, 2006)

1. Our second collection is for Deanery Prison Ministry. As part of the South Seattle Deanery, Holy Family Parish shares a responsibility to support the ministry of Catholic chaplains at the King County Jail. Your donations will help support those who, in our name, reach out to those in jail.

2. In today's bulletin you will find the full schedule of services for Holy Week. In addition to the principal services, I would like to call your attention to additional Holy Week activities: On Friday morning there will be a Pro-Life Prayer Vigil which will leave from the Ailbe House at 7:15. At 11 a.m. that same Friday moring, our school children will present a Living Stations of the Cross here in our church.

3. Please notice the bulletin announcement regarding parking lot safety. We need volunteers to help direct traffic and keep an eye on parked cars.

4. At the entrances of the church you will find a copy of the Divine Mercy Novena which begins on Good Friday. It has English on one side and Spanish on the other.

5. If you are purchasing plants, please consider doing so through Birthright. In the bulletin you will find a flier with a list of plants and flowers available. As you know, Birthright has a satellite in Holy Family Parish, staffed by volunteers from our parish. Your orders of plants and flowers will help Birthright continue its work of helping young women in crisis pregnancies.

6. Finally, here are the times for the principal Holy Week Services: HOly Thursday (multi-lingual) at 7 p.m., Good Friday (English) at 6 p.m. and Easter Vigil (English) at 8 p.m. Saturday evening. Please take home a bulletin for full information.
