Announcements (April 29, 2001)

1. Our two-bit collection this Sunday is for Catholic Answers. Founded and directed by Catholic laity, this groups helps young people understand and defend their faith. Some of their pamphlets are available in the back of the church, as well as the excellent book, Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth.

2. Thank you for your contributions to last week's two-bit collection. $513 were given for AIDS Ministry in the second collection and $9,786 for overall parish needs in the first collection. We depend on your sacrificial giving.

3. Congratulations to the children who made their First Holy Communion this Saturday.

4. There will be a Vigil for Life next Saturday, May 5 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Mass at 8 a.m. followed by prayer vigil in front of Planned Parenthood.

5. U.F.O (Ubiquitous Fifties Operation) will be presented this Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. Proceeds from the play will go to our School Renovation Program.

6. Evenings for the Engaged will begin this Sunday, 4 -6 p.m. in the rectory. If you are planning on getting married in the summer or fall, please come. You may register at the door.

7. Fr. Ramon Velasco and Fr. Bloom will be available for confessions this Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m..

8. There is a Bible Study for high school students and young adults on Sunday evenings, 7 p.m. in the Ailbe House. More details & phone numbers in bulletin.

9. Next Sunday is Commitment Sunday for the Annual Catholic Appeal. Please bring your pledge envelope to place in the collection next weekend.

10. This Sunday is Bundle Sunday. Bring your donations of clothes and household items to the parking lot.

11. Sacred Heart Radio of Seattle has excellent programs to help understand and defend your Catholic faith. Tune your radio to 1050 AM.

12. Copies of National Catholic Register are available at the entrances of the Church. Articles on current issues such as cloning - as well as background article Schismatic groups such as the Pius X.

13. Scrip is for sale after Mass. Scrip can be ordered for use at various stores in our area.
