Announcements (January 8, 2006)

1. Our two-bit collection is for Deanery Hospital Ministry. Your contributions will help support the work of Catholic chaplains at downtown hospitals: Harborview, Swedish and Virginia Mason.

2. The Confirmation Class will begin on January 21. If you are 16 or older (by May 28) and have not been confirmed, please see the notice in the bulletin. The bulletin also contains information regarding baptism classes and RCIA.

3. For those who have questions on Medicare Plan D, please attend the presentation after the 8 a.m. Mass. Holy Family parishioner and school parent, Denise Lamp will be in the faculty room of the school to give a brief presentation and answer questions.

4. This Monday our Catholic Evidence Guild will give a presentation titled "Why Catholics Don't Believe in the Bible Alone". This lecture will help you learn and be able to explain your faith. The presentation will take place on Monday evening, 7 to 9 p.m. in the Sharon Carriere Library of the Ailbe House. Bring your Bible!

5. Our Knights of Columbus invite us to “put a fork in the culture of death” by attending the Pancake Breakfast. The proceeds from this breakfast will be used to charter a bus so that the seventh graders of Holy Family School can attend the March for Life in Olympia on January 18th.

6. This Sunday afternoon our Girls Youth Group will have its first meeting of 2006: 3:30 to 5:30 in the St. Miguel Pro Room in the basement of the Ailbe House.
