Announcements (June 19, 2005)

1. We have a two-bit collection this Sunday for our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society. As you know they do great work helping the poor in our neighborhood. Your contributions will help them serve the needy.

2. At the entrance of the church you will find a yellow brochure with information and a sign-up form for our Summer Bible Camp. It is for children, ages 6-12. The first session will begin July 18-22.

3. Also we have groups for boys and for girls ages 10 to 16. Please see the bulletin for information about their activities and times of meetings.

4. The Inquiry Class is meeting on Thursday evenings during the summer. If you know someone interested in the Catholic Faith, please let them know. If you wish to deepen your understanding of the faith, please plan on attending.

5. You are invited to Latin American Festival this afternoon, beginning at 2 p.m. in our parish hall. Enjoy food from various Hispanic countries, as well as dances in honor of Fatherís Day.

6. We have chosen a new principal for our parish school. He comes from an excellent background, having taught many years and served as principal of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese. He and his wife have raised seven children and now have grandchildren. In our bulletin next week, I will have more information about our new principal, Mr. Glen Lutz.
